Meet the Administrative Team
We are extremely please to have a first-rate administrative team for CAPITALMUN 2024. These WAU students represent a wide variety of academic disciplines on campus, illustrating that MUN really is for everyone.
Secretary General — Junior Aguilar (‘25): Junior is a Theology and Interdisciplinary major who is originally from Guatemala. He enjoys civil discourse, MUN, and is trilingual.
Deputy Secretary General — Charis McRoy (‘25): Charis is a biology and Honors Interdisciplinary major. Charis is also a runner on the Cross Country team.
HUMAN RIGHTS COMMISSION (HRC)
Alanah Alphonse (‘27): Alanah is a Political Studies and Honors Interdisciplinary major with a pre-law emphasis. She is Haitian-American and lives in South Florida
Ana Sofie Girarte (‘26): Ana is a double major in Music and Business Management with an Honors Interdisciplinary minor. She was born and raised in Mexico and would like to pursue arts management.
Jose Samuel Manzano (‘24): Sam is a Music major and Honors Interdisciplinary minor from Mexico City. he is trying everyday to improve himself and inspire others.
Carrington Mattox (‘27): Carrington is an Honors Interdisciplinary major who is well versed in music. He is French-American and grew up in Maryland.
Daniela Lara-Ledezma (‘27): Daniela is a Nursing major and an Honors Interdisciplinary minor. She is a Mexican-American from Hampton Roads, VA.
Elena Lopez (‘27): Elena is a Business Finance major and Honors Interdisciplinary minor. She was born and raised in Madrid, Spain.
Aaliyah Wiles (‘26): Aaliyah is a Psychology and Honors Interdisciplinary major. She was born and raised in Jamaica but moved to the United States in 2017.
UNITED NATIONS ENVIRONMENT ASSEMBLY (UNEA) CHAIRS
Gregorio Capponi (‘26): Gregorio is a Fitness and Wellness major and an Honors Interdisciplinary minor. He was born and raised is Pisa, Italy.
Melissa Corado (‘27): Melissa is a Political Studies and Honors Interdisciplinary major with a pre-law emphasis. She is a Guatemalan-American and lives in Maryland.
Reuben Kirkham (‘27): Reuben is a General Studies major taking avenues toward Criminal Psychology, forensic Anthropology and Criminal Law. He was born and raised in the UK, both England and Wales.
Andrea Rinza (‘26): Andrea is a Music Performance major (Piano) and a Political Studies and Honors Interdisciplinary Studies minor. Andrea is from Oregon where she attended Portland Adventist Academy.
Bartu Yakkan (‘27): Bartu is a Psychology major and Political Studies minor. He is Turkish but has lived his entire live in the Netherlands.
